Free Anberlin Single Dowload (Yes!)

As any Anberlin fans are well aware, the new CD from the band, New Surrender, is due out September 30, 2008. While I don’t know about the rest of the world, I can’t wait to hear it.
Which brings me to today’s free song, from New Surrender, “The Feel Good Drag”. You can download the song for free exclusively from AOL Music. I’ve only heard it 7-8 times so far, and it’s great. I should warn you, the lyrics are a bit mature (it’s written from a Christian perspective, but still not appropriate for everyone).
If you like Anberlin, or alt-rock in general, don’t wait, download now and ask questions later.

(Pssst! Word on the street is that you can already pre-order New Surrender on Amazon.
It ships September 30.)

SWEET! Merci!
Sept 30? What an awesome way to celebrate my baby’s first birthday! lol
This is just a re(mix / lease / play) of the same song on their previous CD, Never Take Friendship Personal.
I was curious about that Brian. Is it the exact same song, or is it a remix, a different version , or something totally different? Could someone with Never Take Friendship Personal set me straight?

I have the old cd, and it is the exact same song, this new one just sounds slightly different. You can tell that it was re-recorded, remixed, etc.
The lead singer looks way differant than he did in ‘04!
That’s disappointing, and really, really weird. Why on earth would they release a song from Never Take… as the first single of New Surrender?
Well, now I’m completely confused. Thank you, Anberlin.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?

its a major label release, so it makes sense to bring some of the old songs to the general public.
It is one of the remixes that was available on the USB bracelets that they sold at the Warped Tour.
You can currently listen to(but not download) the song ‘Disappear’ off of New Surrender on their purevolume page at http://purevolume.com/anberlin.
Interesting, the band is supposed to film a video for the song sometime in the near future. Either the new CD is going to extremely disappointing, or Anberlin seriously wants to promote “The Feel Good Drag”. Here’s hoping it’s option numero dose.
