Free Christian Music by Jordan Biel

Jordan BielFree music today from Jordan Biel, a independent Christian singer/songwriter/worship leader from Ohio.  For a limited time only, he’s giving away two of his songs, “Fall At Your Feet” and “One Thing”, as free downloads.

Both songs are definitely worship songs.  At least one of the songs (“One Thing”) was recorded with the youth band at Jordan’s church, and is from the CD The Way You Move Me.  Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find which CD “Fall At Your Feet” is from – but I’m guessing it’s The Way You Move Me as well.  Enjoy!

New Song from Michael W. Smith

As I was wrapping up yesterday’s post, I happened to notice, underneath the banner for The Afters, another little banner that mentioned an album preview of Michael W. Smith’s brand new CD A New Hallelujah, with a free download.  Immediately, I clicked through and found, in rather small print at the very bottom of the page, the link to get “Might to Save” for free.

The song is a huge 7 minutes long, and features Smitty live with what sounds like a full crowd.  The quality is good for a live recording, and actually sounds great.  Like I said, to find the download you need to scroll, way down to the bottom of the page.  Follow the link, then right click/save as to get the song.

Free Song by The Afters

The Afters

Free music today from a little band called The Afters.  You can grab a free copy of their song “Keeping Me Alive” for free from the 20 The Countdown Magazine website.  It’s a soft song, more praise and worship then rock.  As usual, it’s a solid song from the band, with good lyrics and great musicianship.

The download is a bit hard to find, sadly.  You need to look in the sidebar, a little over half way down the page.  Click on the square top banner, the one that says free download.  Viola, just wait for the download to finish and enjoy!

-20 The Countdown Magazine-

Now for some even better news:  It looks like 20TheCountdownMagazine.com is going to start doing weekly downloads.  If they do, you can be sure I’ll do my best to announce them here whenever there’s a new song.

Free Song from Ocean Is Theory

Today I’ve got for you a free song from the band Ocean Is Theory.  They are an up and coming band who are currently unsigned, but have a devoted fan base and professional sounding music.  If I was a record exec at Credential, I’d starting talking with the band about a record deal.  Seriously, don’t be surprised if you hear more of them in the future.

Anyway, the song is “Oh Broken Sun” and its off of their debut EP Into the Mouths of Lions.  It is not what I was expecting when I downloaded it.  Their music way exceeds my expectations.  It very slightly reminds me of stuff I’ve heard from Further Seems Forever, Sullivan, and recent As Cities Burn (the stuff without screaming), but they have their own unique sound.

And I hope I’m not discouraging anyone from listening when I say “unique sound.”  I don’t mean that they have some weird experimental sound, just that they stand out instead of sounding like everyone else.

PS: I’m going to see House of Heroes tomorrow and if you guys want I can give you a concert review.

Free Anberlin Single Download (Again!)

AnberlinQuick Update:  Even though you can’t download Anberlin’s “Feel Good Drag” on AOL Music any more, you can download it from Fuse.tv’s free music page.  I originally posted about the song way back in August, and here’s what I thought then:

“I’ve only heard it 7-8 times so far, and it’s great… If you like Anberlin, or alt-rock in general, don’t wait, download now and ask questions later.”

(You Have To Work For It But) Free Song from 33Miles

33Miles Game33Miles is giving away their song “I Can’t Deny” in a novel way.  Believe it or not, you need to beat a game, Late For The Gig: The Game, to get the song.

It’s a pretty basic web game, you simply try and dodge the incoming cars and trucks to get 33Miles safely to the concert.  Why the band is driving in the wrong lane, I don’t know, but it makes the whole game harder.

Once you beat the game, simply insert your email address and “I Can’t Deny” will be in your inbox.

Hearts Bleed Passion Vol. 4 – Free Massive Sampler from IVM

Hearts Bleed Passion Vol. 4

YES! I’m finally going to write up Hearts Bleed Passion Vol. 4. I’ve gotten more emails about this then any other sampler in the history of this site. After waiting a couple of weeks before I could download it, and then another week for me to actually listen to enough of it to post (I still haven’t finished it… that’s how big it is!)

Well, like I said, this is one huge sampler. I counted 59 different songs. The full file is around 300 megabytes. Make sure your internet connection can handle it before you try to download it. ;)

I wish I could go through and recommend all of the songs on the sampler, but I don’t have the time to type up a list. I’ll just say that the sampler has some awesome songs, some good songs, and some that just aren’t my cup o’ tea. There’s hardcore, punk, acoustic, rock, pop, and rap, pretty much something for everyone.

-Hearts Bleed Passion Vol. 4 on Indie Vision Music-

PS: I’d love to hear what your favorite song(s) are from the sampler are! Leave a comment and let me know! I’ll even go first. :)

Free Download from Building 429

This week iTicket’s has a free download of “End of Me”, by Building 429, from B429’s self-titled debut on INO Records.  I’ve been seeing several downloads from Building 429 popping up lately, so hopefully everyone like Building 429 – they maybe the only music I feature for a while.  :)   Just kidding…  or am I?

Free Music from The Dark Romantics (Edit: And Cool Hand Luke)

Anyone here a fan of Denison Marrs? Anyone upset that they broke up? Well, I’ve got good news for you, because out of Denison Marrs comes The Dark Romantics. The band consists of two of the former members of Denison Marrs (including the lead singer), plus their wives, and then a drummer. The 6 songs are off of their record label’s website (the only other Christian artist on the label [a little group called Cool Hand Luke] doesn’t have any downloads, unfortunately [EDIT: Apparently they actually do have downloads]), and for some reason a few of the songs are listed more than once. My favorite song there, and the one I recommend most to all of you, is “Another Song For Another Night.” So yeah, check them out and tell me what you think.

Now, I have a little bonus song for you. In between DM and TDR, there was a band called The Party People. They have a song called “Got A Feelin’” for download on their Purevolume page.

P.S. Sorry it took me so long to get this up, I was preoccupied with something that starts with an H and ends with eroes. But, as awesome as that show is, lets not turn the comment section into a discussion of it…

Free Demo Song from Joy Williams

Joy WilliamsI’ve got a super-fresh download from Joy Williams today.  She’s giving away a free demo of her new song “Lose Myself” for free on her ReverbNation profile.

The download was only released yesterday, but I’ve already heard it enough to recommend it.  It’s a soft, almost acoustic song.  Honestly, I don’t know why they’re calling it a demo – it sounds great to me.  Don’t miss it if you’re a fan of Alli Rogers or Sara Groves.

There is one small problem:  I had to join Joy William’s mailing list to get the free download.  Even that was pretty painless though.  No reason to pass on the song.
