Brand New Free Song from Everyday Sunday

Everyday Sunday Best Night of Our LivesJune 16 will be the best night of your life.  Well, it might be.  I don’t know for sure.  However, I do know that June 16 is the day that Everyday Sunday’s brand new CD, Best Night of Our Lives, hits stores.  ;)

Of course, the above information is all well and good, but this blog is about free Christian music.  Lucky, the band decided to be generous, and is giving away the title track and first single, “Best Night of Our Lives”.  It’s a great punk/rock song in true Everyday Sunday style.  I should warn you though, it has the potential to get stuck in your head for hours.  Even days.

But, if you think the benefit risk is worth the risk, you can download the song for free from the link below.  Just type in your email address, and you’ll get an email with a link to download the song within seconds.  Enjoy!

Speaking of Everyday Sunday, Soul Glow Activator of Family Force 5 is to do a dance remix “Best Night of Our Lives”.  It’s all in their MySpace blog.  It’s going to be great.   I, for one, can’t wait to hear it.  Hmm, I wonder if it’ll be anything like The After’s dance remix of “Never Going Back to OK”…  :)

iTickets + Tangle = Free Music

I hope you are having a good day today, because this is the only one you are going to get.  Scary thought, isn’t it?  This is the only April 29th 2009 we’ll ever have.  We’ve only got one shot at living for God today before it’s gone.  That said, here’s some music to listen too while you work at it.

Addison Road

iTicket.com has added three new free songs this week, including:

  • Manic Drive – “Blue”
  • Addison Road – “Start Over Again”
  • John Tesh – “Rescue”

Of the three, Manic Drive is my favorite, as it’s the most rocking, but both of the other songs are good too.  I knew Addison Road wouldn’t disappoint, and I’m pleasently surprised by John Tesh.  You can download all three for free, provided you’ve got an account with iTickets.  It doesn’t take too long to sign up if you don’t, and you’ll be able to download next week’s music when it comes, and so on.  Enjoy!

-iTicket’s Free Music Page-

Also available this week is “More Beautiful You”, from Jonny Diaz.  ”More Beautiful You” is a country-twanged song about true beauty.  It’s also Jonny’s latest radio single.   It’s available for free from Tangle.com, where you can download it from the bottom right of the page.

-Tangle.com-

Update: Since yesterday, Tangle has changed the free song from “More Beautiful You” to “Stand for You”.  I don’t know why, but I’m not going to complain about more free music.  ;)

Just as a random side note, look for another writer on TFCMB soon.  The comments are open to guess as to his/her identity.  It’s a name a lot of you should recognize.  ;)

Awaken, North Wind!

Doubt Awaken, North Wind!

Awaken, North Wind!

It’s a very poetic name, isn’t it?  Epic, raw, beautiful, a little chilling?  That’s what  I thought, when I first heard about them.  Now, as I listen to “Grace”, I can see how the name fits.

Awaken, North Wind! is a new independant band I first heard about on Twitter.  Someone asked me if I had heard of them, and since I hadn’t, I looked them up on Google quick.  A while later, and I was listening to some seriously good music.

Turns out, Awaken, North Wind! is a Christian indie rock/post-hardcore band, following in the musical footsteps of As Cities Burn, Ocean is Theory, Edison Glass, Cool Hand Luke, and My Epic.  As their bio says and their name echoes, their music is honest, beautiful, and poetic.

While I was looking the band up, I happened upon a free download on band’s Purevolume profile for the song “Grace”.  It’s from their debut Doubt, and is very, very good.  If you enjoy any of the band listed above, you should definitely grab the song while it’s available.  Excellent song.  I know I’m going to be syncing it to my mp3 player soon.  Anyway, enjoy!

You’re Not Alone

It’s Ansley again. I have for you an acoustic version of Meredith Andrews’ “You’re Not Alone”. You have to be a member of Meredith’s site, but it only takes a few minutes to register. After you’ve done that, click where it says “FREE MP3!” Then they give you detailed instructions on how to download the song using Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari.  (If you’re using Chrome, you’re out of luck.)  Anyway, it’s a nice song.

Brand New Thousand Foot Krutch!

Thousand Foot Krutch

Very, very exciting free music today from a little band called Thousand Foot Krutch.  They’ve got a brand new song (never before heard in it’s entirety!)  from their new CD Welcome to the Masquerade.  It’s called “Bring Me to Life”, and it flat out rocks.  Seriously, it does.

It sounds like it would fit right in on Phenomenon (which is generally considered one of Christian rocks greatest CDs ever).  Trevor even does a little rapping, which he hasn’t done with TFK in a long time.  It’s just a good, solid, rock out song.  Needless to say, I am now very excited to see what Welcome to the Masquerade sounds like.

You actually have two choices for downloading the song, though both entail basically the same thing.  You can go to FeedTheBeat.com, a website run my TacoBell, and download the song for free, along with another great free Christian rock song, “Unbreakable” by Fireflight.

Or, as an alternative, you could also head over to WelcomeToTheMasquerade.com, a official Thousand Foot Krutch mini-site, and download just “Bring Me to Life”.  Either way, you’ll need to provide an email address, zip code, and your country of residence.

Regardless of the site you choose, I really hope you’ll check the song out, and hopefully rocking out to it as much as I do.  :)

Traveler’s Song: Goodbye Ordinary

iTickets.com has just added two new free song for this week, from MercyMe and Future of Forestry.  This is the fourth or fifth place I’ve seen MercyMe’s  song “Goodbye Ordinary” for free, so I’m not particularly excited about it, though it is a good song.

Travel Future of ForestryWhat’s really got me excited this week is the Future of Forestry song – “Traveler’s Song”.  It’s from their new CD Travel, which is coming out in May.  I’ve been a fan of these guys since they were Searching for Silas, so I’m especially excited for this sneak peak of the new album.

To download the songs, just visit iTickets and sign-in (or sign-up, if you’re not already a member) and click to download.  Enjoy!

Also, VideoRocket, a Christian video website affiliated with iTickets, has added a new free music video download this week from a new band called Reilly.  I was just listening to some of their songs on their website, and they sound pretty good.  You can check out the video by visiting VideoRocket here, or clicking the banner underneath the free music on iTickets.

Free CD from Preson Phillips

Preson Phillips The Observant and the Anawim

If you enjoyed The Glorious Unseen’s free CD, or if you’re a fan of Andrew Peterson, Corey Crowder, Derek Webb, or Phil Wickham, then you might want to pay attention, because this post is for you.  Everyone else can read along too.  :)

Preson Phillips is a 27 year old acoustic/folk worship artist who has his entire CD The Observant and the Anawim up on his website for free download.  It’s an excellent CD, mostly folk with some country, rock, and modern praise/worship thrown in for good measure.  Musically, it’s great.  Lyrically, it’s better still.  Bascially, it’s all just heartfelt worship & praise.  Really good stuff, like Esterlyn or The Glorious Unseen.

Also, if my opinion isn’t enough to persuade you to give Preson Phillips a listen, maybe this will:  Aaron Gillespie (of Underoath & The Almost fame) contributes his voice to one song, and Tim McTague (also from Underoath) provides guitar to “What Am I” and vocals to “Then They Will Know”, and on top of that, he also produced the CD.  If you ask me, he did a pretty good job of it.

Now, for the hard part.  It’s a little tough finding the download link on Preson’s website.  However, if you 1. go to the site 2. click on “Albums” and 3. click on “Get This Album”, you’ll be there.  That said, I’ll leave you all with the music while I head up to bed.  It’s getting late.  Enjoy everyone!

Free Song from MercyMe

MercyMeRandom fact: To the best of my knowledge, today’s free mp3 is the only breakup song to ever enter the top 10 on contemporary Christian radio.

It is, of course, MercyMe’s song “So Long Self”.  It a fun, rockin’ song about saying goodbye to the old self, and welcoming in new life in Christ.  You can download it for free from Tangle.com (a website formerly know as GodTube), by looking in the bottom right corner of the page.  Enjoy!

-Tangle.com-

I’m looking forward to seeing what Tangle will come up with next week…  Anyway, while you’re on Tangle, you can also friend TFCMB, and watch MercyMe’s excellent and entertaining music video for “So Long Self”.  Have fun!  ;)

Free EP from The Glorious Unseen

The Glorious Unseen The Cries of the BrokenI’ve got another treat for you tonight, from The Glorious Unseen.  They’ve got their entire acoustic EP, The Cries of the Broken, available on NoiseTrade.  Now, since it’s NoiseTrade, you have two options for downloading:

  1. Tell 5 friends and download the music for free.
  2. Or, pay what you’d like and support the artist, then download the CD.

It’s up to you which option you choose.  Either way, I really hope you’ll give The Glorious Unseen a listen, even if you don’t download the CD.  I’m listening to it now, and wow, it’s good.  It’s all real, heartfelt worship.  Every song is about God, which I’m loving, and on top of that, the music is different from just about every other praise & worship band out there.  It’s really just beautiful all around.

Anyway, check these guys out.  It’s free, and it really is good stuff.

Fighting From the Ground Up Vol. 2

Fighting From the Ground Up Vol. 2

I’m finally getting around to listening to Indie Vision Music’s latest musical offering, the Fighting From the Ground Up Vol. 2 sampler.  I’ve only heard the first couple of songs at this point (I’m listening as I type), but I can tell you with all certainty that this, like the rest of Indie Vision Music’s samplers, it is well worth your time.

Since it is so big (over 50 artists), rather then attempt to review it, I’m just going to let you listen for yourselves.  There’s definitely some good tracks included, and then the inevitable not-quite-as-good-tracks, but all around I’d say it’s worth downloading, especially if you enjoy independent music.  After all, it’s free!  What do you have to lose?

-Fighting From the Ground Up Vol. 2 from Indie Vision Music-

Enjoy!
