Free Song from Paramore
Free music today from a band called Paramore. I haven’t reseached them much, so I can’t say 100% that they should be called a Christian band, but they’re generally considered one – kind of like The Fray. As such, I’ll leave it up to you to decide the classification, and whether or not to get the free song, which happens to be “That’s What You Get”.
It’s from Paramore’s breakthrough album Riot!, and you can download the song for free from the band’s Purevolume account, where you can also stream the group’s latest single, “Ignorance”, from their yet-to-be-released CD Brand New Eyes. Check it out!

Paramore is fantastic. they played at C-Stone a while back.
lyrics are good, music is great.
and, just so you know, it’s okay to listen to music that isn’t made by ‘Christian Bands’
thank you, FCB for recognizing Paramore.
Not sure if they are doing Christian music. I had a really hard time making out the words on some of their tracks, so it was hard for me to tell.
Christian music isnt the box we have put it in. These guys are all believers, I have talked to them personally about it. I have seen Hayley hold a quasi-worship session on stage…but no they dont sing amazing grace. Good, because most people who arnt believers dont want to hear that
no one said it was wrong to listen to secular music (though if you have a personal conviction against listening you shouldn’t), but seeing as this is the Free Christian Music Blog and not the Free Music Blog or something like that, it is a relevant thing to discuss.
So far as I can tell, all of the members of the band are indeed Christians, however, they’re music isn’t currently being distributed to the Christian market, and like James said, this is a Christian blog, so I felt like it would be good to mention that. Personally, I don’t have a problem listening to Paramore, or The Fray, or Lifehouse, or any of the other Christian crossovers, but I know some people do, so I wanted to make sure I was respectful of that. That said, I hope you all enjoy the song.

i appreciate good music, and especially free good music. But i come to this website for good, free, Christian music, so i think it’s important that the conviction of the artists and the message of the songs are considered.
i had friends tell me that they thought Paramore was a christian group. But I, like others, researched and discovered that while the individual members do claim to have a faith in Jesus, the message of their music, as a whole, does not necessarily proclaim that faith or the gospel message. (overtly or in subtext). I don’t think that makes them less Christian, but it does mean to me that they are not a Christian band.
thank you FCMB for all your efforts in finding music, and fostering discussion!
I think Christian bands crossing over into the secular market is a great way to get the message of Christ out there. You are going to have non-believers listening to this music and that may even lead to them becoming a believer. I have heard of this on more than one occasion. As long as the band does not stray from there Christian roots and message, than this is not a bad thing at all. Sadly there have been some suposed Christian bands that have strayed too far and now are no longer Christian bands at all. That doesn’t mean that they are not Christians, just that they no longer proclaim the gospel in there music. Some of my favorite Christian bands do well in both markets (ex. Skillet, Family Force 5, Relient K, Flyleaf, Thousand Foot Krutch, and many others). They are very much gettinf the message out in Christian and secular circles. I think it is great.
personally i think 8 foot sativa would be a good band for this site
