Welcome to the Month of Rocktober

…Or so claims HearItFirst’s latest promotion, sponsored by Guitar Praise, which features 13 rockin’ Christian artists for the month of October.  Through the Rocktober page at HearItFirst, you can download free songs from Me In Motion, SONSOFDAY, Dreampilots, Stryper (!), Unhindered, Canopy Red, Manic Drive, and Two Cent Offering, not to mention a contest to win Guitar Praise and CDs from all 13 bands.

To download the songs, click on the artist’s banner on the Rocktober page, then look for the free download banner on the different artist pages (on the left, to be specific).  I have to say, despite most of the bands being under-the-radar or unsigned, it’s a pretty impressive bunch of songs.  Me In Motion was on new band that impressed me, and it was good to hear new music from SONSOFDAY, and then of course there’s Stryper, which is in a class of it’s own.    All around, if you like Christian rock (from the lighter side to the hard rock side), don’t miss this.
