Turn Up the Lights
Free music today from Canadian electro-pop sensation, Lights. Even though Lights isn’t a Christian artist, per se, from what I’ve read about Lights, I’d say she does deserve a mention on here, if only because of “Saviour”.
Ah, “Saviour”. It’s one of Lights biggest hits, and one of my new favorite songs. Here’s a sample of the chorus:
“I just wanna run to you, and break off the chains, and throw them away, I just want to be so much, and shake off the dust, that turned me to rust, sooner then later, I need a saviour, I need a saviour.”
Now, I’m not sure if Lights capitalized the “you” and “saviour” when she wrote the song, but whenever I hear it, there’s only one Savior I think of. It’s just a good song, and I think just about everyone, if we’re really honest, will admit to having nights where we just need to run to God and be held for a while. I’ve been there, and maybe you have too.
“Saviour” is free on AmazonMP3 right now, and I really do recommend you get it if you possibly can.
Edit: Fear not, the song is $0.00, with or without the $3 AmazonMP3 credit from yesterday.

That song is actually pretty good, but do I wanna spend one of my 3 dollars on it? =P haha
I’ve got that CD and in the sleeve she actually gives thanks to God. Her parents were missionaries too, so I think she is probably a Christian (though not a “Christian singer” per se).
Thanks for the heads up on this song, I saw it on amazon but didnt bother taking a listen till I saw your post, I really enjoy it and to me it does apply as a “Christian Song” I need a Saviour!!! thank you Heavenly Father!!!
Craig: It’s free, no Amazon credit required.
Adam: I’d assume so, but you never know, and I’d rather be on the safe side.

Fire on the Inside by Pillar is also free!
Matt: in that case I gotta get it
And here is a prime example on why it’s so bad for Christians artists to use the capitalization code as a crutch.
