Free Music and Bill Gates!?
I got this in an email from 1000 Generations today:
“We need your help! 1000 Generations’ song, “Bring Me Down,” has been chosen as a finalist in Microsoft’s indie artist contest called “Playlist 7.” Your vote is what we need to pull it to the top (plus you’ll get FREE downloads)!
Fans can go to www.reverbnation.com/playlist7 and click on “Current Contenders.” Scroll through the artists until you see 1000 Generations. Vote for “Bring Me Down” by downloading it (again, for free)! If you aren’t already a Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter friend of “Windows,” you’ll be asked to join the group. Joining will allow you to vote for any of the nominees and download any 7 free songs per week from their list! You can also de-friend them at any time.
The top 7 downloaded songs this week will be next week’s Featured Artists. The voting ends this Sunday, so vote early this week and get your friends to vote too. It’s free music just for being a friend of Mr. Gates! :)
Let’s work together to get 1000 Generations a terrific national platform with this song and its message!”
I’d also like to point out that another Christian band, JUSTPASSINGTHRU, is also in the running this week, and they’re worth checking out too. Now, I know some people would really rather not be associated with Mr. Gates (you know who I’m talking about), but if you don’t mind that, it’s free music, so enjoy!

Wow I’m really taking a leap here “befriending” Mr. Gates. He’s the last one I’d want to follow. Haha… I mean, I AM strictly Apple
I feel like a traitor.. but then there’s the carrot of free music looming overhead, and of course I can’t resist

If you click on Audio Library, and go to page 2, there’s a song by FIRE. There’s also Eleventyseven on page 6.
Okay I LOL’d at this one, because it’s telling me I’m not registered as a fan. Because it’s Windows it probably recognized me as a spy or infiltrator or because well… it’s Windows, and we all know Windows has bugs

i went to hume( a christian camp in cali) and they were the worship band that winter and they were pretty bomb!
Darn it I am not signed up on any of those sites
(twitter, facebook, etc) awesome song though.
Razgriz: You’re right about Eleventyseven, but I check on FIRE, and it’s a different band then the one I featured a couple of days ago – this one was from Malta. :\

To bad, it doesn’t work for me. It always says “Not registered as a fan. Please try again.” even though it is on my Twitter account.
By the way,
@Matt: I wrote you about a song by Judy Bailey but didn’t got an answer. Since I don’t trust my mail account at the moment I ask it here: Did you receive the emails?
Philipp: Oh, I’m sorry, I did get your emails, I’m just haven’t had a chance to reply yet – I’m sadly behind on that email account.

That’s ok, I was (and still am) pretty unsure wether all my emails I send reach their destination or not, therefore I thought I ask here, just to be sure.
Especially since the song of Judy Bailey will probably be taken of the homepage in the next few days.
PS: I totally know what this means, I experience the same problem with some of my email accounts. For example, I haven’t been on Facebook for months, you can imagine how many messages I got from there I haven’t looked at so far
Yikes, I can only imagine how many hundreds of notifications and messages you have on there…
