God Save Us, Foolish Petty Thieves
Before I get to the free music, House of Heroes just released their brand new music video for “God Save The Foolish Kings” today, featuring guest vocals by Stephanie Smith. The video was directed by Nathan Corrona of Dustbrand Films, who are also responsible for Sanctus Real’s “Forgiven”, Seabird’s “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful”, Flynn Adam’s “Dishes”, and Grits’ “Fly Away”, just to name a few. You can watch “God Save The Foolish Kings” above, or if you prefer HD, check it out on YouTube here.
Pretty sweet, huh? Well, I’ve got even more House of Heroes goodness for you: The band is giving away their song “Independence Day for a Petty Thief” for free through FreeHoH.com, in return for one tweet. In keeping with the band’s apparent theme for Suburba, it’s a rockin’ song about a young thief who breaks into homes on the 4th of July while everyone is out enjoying a fireworks display. Good song. Enjoy!
Happy Birthday Manafest!
From Manafest’s Facebook Page:
“yes it is my birthday today…my age… well.. you will have to listen to the first song on the Glory album to figure that out..Food, one interview a movie and hanging with some friends today!!!”
I’d like to start this post by officially wishing Manafest a very happy __st! No, I’m not going to tell you his age – you can find that out easily enough.
However, I can tell you something even cooler about Manafest. Despite it being traditional to receive gifts on one’s birthday, Manafest is giving away a free download of his music video for “No Plan B” for free through SendSpace. He posted the link to both Twitter and Facebook, so it’s definitely legit, and to sweeten the deal, the download is extremely high quality. I’m not a video expert, but I’d say it’s high definition or close to it. To put it simply, it looks amazing. Definitely worth picking up!

Update: Thanks to the bright and ever-helpful TFCMB reader base, I can now assure you that this particular version of “No Plan B” features Koie from the Japanese metal group Crossfaith. Also, if you prefer the version with Koie to the original album cut, it’s on iTunes and AmazonMP3. You’re welcome.
Free Tunes from Jaymes Reunion
Free music today from a new Tooth & Nail pop/rock band named Jaymes Reunion. The band’s giving away two free songs through their website, an acoustic version of “Fine” from their Jaymes Reunion EP, and an exclusive b-side called “Dear Ann”, which didn’t make the cut for the band’s debut full-length Everything You’ve Been Looking For.
To download the songs, you’re asked to share the songs with several of your friends, after which you can download the songs yourself. The friend’s you share it with will get an a link in their email to download the songs without any further hassle. A bit inconvient perhaps, but hey, it’s free. Check it out!
Just for fun, I’ve embedded the band’s music video for “Fine” below. Enjoy!
Free Download of Flyleaf’s “Again” Video
Check out the embedded widget for a free download Flyleaf’s music video for “Again” – the quality isn’t the greatest, but I think it would still look great on a smaller screen, maybe an iTouch. (Oh, and if you’re having trouble seeing the widget, it’s also available on the band’s website, here.)
Free Song From RED
I tried something new today – I did a Facebook poll (through the TFCMB Facebook page), and asked folks who they’d like to see on TFCMB tonight, and RED beat out Jars of Clay by an impressive 84%. I’ll still post Jars of Clay at some point, but the champion is clearly RED, so here’s the scope: The song is “Forever”, from the deluxe edition of Innocence & Instinct. It’s available for free to anyone willing to sign up for the band’s newsletter, and it’s rocks.
Also, the band recently released a behind-the-scenes music video for “Forever”, with footage from the band’s tours and concerts, which you can watch below. Also, I just saw on the band’s website that you can enter to win an autographed electric guitar from the band by checking out this link, pretty cool if you ask me.
Free Song from Flyleaf
I just got a tip on this last night, and it’s legit: Amazon.com is giving away Flyleaf’s song “Again” for free! Flyleaf has some amazing songs, but I think this one is my favorite – at least for now. Enjoy!
Speaking of “Again”, Flyleaf recorded a music video for the song, and it’s quite impressive. Check it out!
Switchfoot – “Mess of Me” (The Official Video!)
This is the brand new, official, music video for Switchfoot’s new song and single, “Mess of Me”, and it pretty much rocks. It’s one of the best live music videos I’ve ever seen, and the song is pretty awesome too.
Even though I do really like the video, though, that’s not why I’m writing this post. It turns out, Land of Broken Hearts (a Switchfoot fan site), has put together a list of objectives for Switchfoot fans everywhere, to help promote the new video. They’ve done an amazing job so far, the video has hit the top of Digg, been featured on YouTube’s homepage, and several other very cool accomplishments. Despite the progress, though, there’s always room for more fans, so if helping Switchfoot conquer the world musically sounds like fun to you, check out the Land of Broken Hearts website for information on how you can get involved. Rock on!

November 10. Hello Hurricane. It’s coming.
Eleventyseven – “Evil Genius”
If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m a pretty big Eleventyseven fan, and one of the first two songs I heard from their new album Adventures in Eville was an zany little number called “Evil Genius”. The music video for the song just came out, and I just have to share it with you all. Part boy-meets-girl, part quest for world domination, and a whole lot of lighthearted silly (geeky) fun all around, prepare yourself for a music video like no other…
Oh, and Grover Cleveland deserves an Oscar. Just sayin’.
They’ve Come A Long Way: Anberlin
I was watching music videos on TV this afternoon, and I happened to see some very, very old videos from Skillet & Switchfoot. As I watched them, I thought it was funny how far they’ve come (and how they’ve aged…) since their first music videos. As I thought, I decided I need to showcase a few examples of just how far a few of your favorite artists have come since their first projects. To kick it off, I’ve found Anberlin’s “Ready Fuels” from their debut Blueprints for the Black Market, and “The Unwinding Cable Car” from their third album, Cities…

Now, haven’t they come a long way? Enjoy!
Oh, and if you don’t have it already, you can download “Ready Fuels” , along with “A Day Late” and “Glass to the Arson”, from Anberlin’s Purevolume profile, here:
