Chasing Victory
The Weekly Downloads
Note: All of the downloads on the post (with the possible exception of KJ-52 and Abandon Kansas) will no longer be available tomorrow, so make sure you get them soon.

There’s lots of free music available this week, but probably the biggest name is David Crowder Band’s new song and latest single “How He Loves”, from DCB’s new CD Church Music which releases tomorrow. It’s a free download this week from Tangle.com, and to quote TFCMB reader Razgriz:
“Yo - Tangle.com is featuring “How He Loves” by DC*B. I LOVE THAT SONG!!!! Get an article on it NOW!”
So you see I’m really just following orders with this post.
Check it out, bottom right of the page!
NewReleaseTuesday.com has two downloads this week, Bethany Dillon’s “Everyone to Know” and KJ-52’s “Let It Go”. You do need to be a NRT member to download the songs, but both songs are pretty good if you’re signed up. And if you are, make sure to send me a friend request, I’d love to be your friend on NRT.

Also available for the rest of the week, Chasing Victory’s music video for “Wolves” – which you can download from VideoRocket. It was directed by Endeavor Media, the same company that did House of Heroes’ “In the Valley of the Dying Sun”, Owl City’s “Fireflies”, and TobyMac’s “Lose My Soul”, plus a lot more. “Wolves” was one of the earlier videos Endeavor did, but is still pretty entertaining.
Now, last but not least, you can download Abandon Kansas’s song “I Wonder If It’s Me” from Gospel Music Channel (just in case you missed it on iTicket’s last week), and speaking of iTickets, you can download three southern gospel tracks from the NQC Live Volume 8 CD, a live album recorded at the National Quartet Convention. It’s not the typical stuff you’d see on TFCMB, but hey, it’s free, so if southern gospel is your thing, you’ll probably want to check it out.

Free Tracks from I Am Terrified & Chasing Victory
I didn’t see this one coming – iTickets has added two new downloads for this week, one from post-hardcore/rock band Chasing Victory and one from hardcore/rock band I Am Terrified. The songs are “Wolves (G.O.B. Vs Tony Wonder)” and “To The Service”, respectively. I’ve gotten both songs before (“To The Service” has been on iTickets previously), but if you don’t have either yet, grab them this week while you can.
New Sampler from Indie Vision Music
Indie Vision Music has put out many, many samplers recently, and though many of them are no longer posted online, they have taken the best songs from the seven samplers (sans the heavy stuff, which might be getting its own “best of” sampler) and put them into one. What you get is free songs from Chasing Victory, Project 86, Stavesacre, Ever Stays Red, Esterlyn, and 35 other awesome bands.
I haven’t been able to listen to everything yet, as I have not only been busy but also overwhelmed with this and another even bigger sampler that all of you will probably see in the near future. You might get spoiled this week, thats all I’m saying.
-James
Edit: Apparently the wonderful people at IVM are working on another compilation that they hope to put out in time for Christmas. If you’re in a band and have a quality recording they are interested in possibly using your song in the compilation.
FreeFuge.com, New Music Video from Family Force 5
Free music from FreeFuge.com today. They have a page on their website specially for free music, and to be blunt, it’s awesome. It looks like the selection is a mix of songs from FreeGotee.com and FreeMvS.com, with a little Sparrow Records thrown in. Of course, that’s not saying much unless you know which bands are on which labels. So, I’ll explain the selection.
It feature’s Ayiesha Woods’ “Happy”, Bethany Dillon’s “Top of the World”, Britt Nicole’s current single “Set The World On Fire”, Family Force 5’s “Supersonic”, John Reuben’s catchy “Good Evening”, Relient K’s “More Than Useless”, Sanctus Real’s number one hit “Don’t Give Up”, the southern rock “Temptation Come My Way” from The Showdown. Also featured is This Beautiful Republic’s new single “Casting Off”, Vicky Beeching, and Tim Hughes. (Oh, and they also have Chasing Victory listed, but the download doesn’t work.)
As you can see, that’s quite a selection. All of the songs are free and legal downloads. So enjoy!
Welcome to FreeMonoVsStereo.com…

Free music today from Mono vs. Stereo Records, a imprint of Gotee Records. Don’t feel bad if you’ve never heard of them. They were unfamiliar to me too. Anyway, as an imprint of Gotee, they use the same web-network thing, which means they have the same bunch of websites, only different. Back in October I posted about FreeGotee.com, which features songs from Gotee artists. FreeMonovsStereo.com is almost the same site, only with different colors, artists, and songs. It rocks. It has 18 different songs that are totally free, from artist’s like Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, The Even Anthem, Chasing Victory, and Last Tuesday. I’ll break down the songs quick:
.
Andy Zipf is an artist I know nothing whatsoever about. Chasing Victory is a post-hardcore band that broke up this year. Gasoline Heart is another band that I am not familiar with, but it is worth noting that 2 of the song on FreeMonovsStereo.com are unavailable anywhere else. House of Heroes has two song featured here, one of which was a kindof-hit single. Last Tuesday is my favorite band on the site, and “Become What You Believe” is my favorite song. It really struck a chord with me. With lyrics like:
So far, this all sounds to-good-to-be-true, right? Well, it is. Sort of. Some of the songs, when downloading is attempted, give the ever-dreaded “File not found” error. Still, this is an awesome site for anyone who like Christian rock.
Enjoy y’all!
