Mind the Rap Vol. 1

Have you ever woke up in the morning, and just felt like listening to hip-hop?  I did today.  Which is why today is such a great day for me to finally write up Illect Records.  They’ve got a new compilation out for free, featuring 22 songs, plus 3 bonus songs.  It’s called Mind the Rap Vol. 1, and has songs from many (if not all) of Illect’s emcees.  The track listing:

Free Samplers from Sphere of Hip-Hop

Happy Birthday Sphere of Hip-hop! The site is turning 11 this year! *Applause*

To celebrate, they’ve got two nice-sized .zip files full of Christian Hip-Hop ready to be blasted through your speakers. Both samplers are a free thank-you gift for supporting the Sphere.

I download both samplers while I was at a friend’s house and forgot them there, so I can’t exactly say what all is included, however I specifically remember seeing Deepspace5 on there. Still, I think it’s definitely something to check out if you’re into rap music. Hey, it’s free!

Fighting From the Ground Up Vol. 1

Indie Vision Music is offering a massive sampler of independent Christian artists. The sampler is called Fighting From The Ground Up Vol. 1, and is packed with great music. There are 41 different artists featured, from praise and worship to punk to hardcore to rock to rap. I couldn’t begin to list them all. Some songs are better then others, but it’s free and I’m not complaining. 

Note: The sampler is 200 megabytes, so you should make sure you’ve got the computer for a while before you attempt it.
