Summer Festival Sampler 2009

Toothandnail - BEC recordings - Solid StateYes, you heard me right, yet another summer sampler from Tooth & Nail/BECrecordings/Solid State. This one might not be as big and make your head explode, but it still contains some good music. Also, many of these songs were already on the previous Sampler Matt posted just two days ago, but, this one does have a few songs that were not. Of the twelve songs, 7 of them are on the Fuel Sampler. Track listing:

  • Emery – Cutthroat Collapse
  • Thousand Foot Krutch – Bring Me To Life
  • Kutless – The Rescue
  • FM Static – Boy Moves to a New Town with Optimistic Outlook
  • The Glorious Unseen – Hear Our Prayers
  • Falling Up – Streams of Woe at Acheron
  • KJ-52 – Wake Up
  • Hawk Nelson – Lets Dance Dojo Dominating Remix by Jason Dunn
  • Since October – Guilty
  • August Burns Red – Thirty and Seven
  • Seventh Day Slumber – Take Everything
  • Children 18:3 – All My Balloons

Anyway, even if you did get the Fuel Sampler, the remaining five songs on the Summer Festival Sampler ‘09 make it all the worth while to download. Besides, what do you have to lose?

It also says that the ‘The Rescue’ is done by an artist called by the same name. However, when I downloaded it, it came out as Kutless. I haven’t heard of an artist by the name by ‘The Rescue’, so I believe it was just an error.

Brand New Kutless Single Available Free

New Kutless Single FreeHappy Mother’s Day! Hopefully you remembered to do something special for your mom. I asked mine to do a guest post today, to feature whatever music she wanted. Unfortunately, she declined, so you’re stuck with me. :)

Topping the Christian music headlines today, Kutless has announced that they are giving away their new single, “The Feeling”, from their upcoming CD To Know That You’re Alive. You can get the song over at ExclusiveKutless.com, the band’s “secret” website.

I was surprised when I first heard the song. It’s unlike any Kutless song I’ve ever heard. It actually reminds me of The Showdown’s new CD. It’s still Kutless, but it sounds like they’ve changed their sounds some. Of course, this is only one song- it’s still to early to see what the new CD will sound like.

So, if you like Kutless or The Showdown, or just Christian rock in general, I’d recommend it. It’s a great song. It’s a bit different from what the bands done before, but in a good way. Get the song. It’s Kutless, and it’s free. What do you have to lose?

If you get the song, please, leave a comment to this post and let me know what you think.

11 Bands to Watch for in 2008

~ 11 Bands to look for in 2008 ~

11. Stellar Kart. If we really can Expect the Impossible, it must be pretty cool.

10. Inhabited. Their new album Love has been getting good reviews already, and looks to be an great CD.

9. Inhale Exhale. After a great debut, their sophomore disk looks to be great as well.

8. Pillar. With the apparent return to their older style, For the Love of the Game looks to be a worth squeal continuation to the Pillar legacy.

7. Hawk Nelson. If past awesome-ness is a sign of future awesome-ness, they are in great shape.

6. The Afters. After, what, three years, the band return with their second album, which looks to be as good or better then then I Wish We All Could Win.

5. P.O.D. (Payable on Death). Overlooking there new CD, When Angels and Serpents Dance, would be a serious mistake.

4. Showbread. Is a so crazy. They are releasing two different CDs on the same day. Who know what will happen? For sheer unpredictability, you need to keep an eye on them.

3. Kutless. With a new CD supposedly on the way, the massively popular band will definitely be one to watch for.

2. Underoath. The hardcore phenomenon. The mere fact that they are doing a new CD has music fans around the world in desperate anticipation.

1. Family Force 5. In two years, they went from unknowns to one of the hottest bands in Christian music. With a new, untitled CD on the way, the dance party that is FF5 will likely continue to spread.

Honorably Mentions:

A Rotterdam November. Despite being unsigned and unknown, they landed a hit with “City Without a Heart” and look to be a promising band.

Fireflight. Looks Unbreakable.

Leeland. Blindside. Switchfoot. Anberlin. John Reuben. Krystal Meyers. Deserved to fit in the top 11, only I ran out of room. :(

Fuse.com Bringing out Kutless, Blessthefall, Relient K

Free songs from Fuse.tv, of all places. They have awesome songs from Kutless, Blessthefall, and Relient K. You don’t need to sign up for anything at all, just click to download. Now, I am pretty sure everyone probably knows who Kutless and Relient K are, but let me (or rather Wikipedia) introduce Blessthefall: Blessthefall on Wikipedia. Also, Jonezetta used to have a song featured (“Get Ready (Hot Machete)), but it’s since been removed. I am not sure how long any of the songs I mention above will be available, so do yourself a favor and get them now.

Check it out now!
