Tenth Avenue North
A friend told me about some free music that was up for grabs, from a familiar band, and artist. So, I am here to share if you may have not heard (as I had not, until recently).
You can download the new single “You Don’t Owe Me” from one of the most popular bands of CCM,
Tenth Avenue North.
And also download the 2011 version’s of Damaged and Blush, from one of CCM’s finest, Plumb.
Thanks for reading. Until next time.
You can snag a free song courtesy of Tenth Avenue North from their website right now, or by using the widget below. On their site, you can “Like” their Facebook page instead of trading your email. Well here’s the widget and the link so you can go grab it now:
I’ve got a tremendous offer to pass on to you today – the Freedom album.
If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a compilation of 26 songs by different Christian artists released to support the International Justice Mission in combating modern-day slavery and oppression throughout the world. That alone would be a great reason to buy the CD, but wait till you hear what’s on it.
I’m not going to post the full tracklisting, since it’s already on the website, but I will say there is new, unreleased, and rare songs from CCM heavyweights like TobyMac, Relient K, Sanctus Real, Tenth Avenue North, and MercyMe, plus songs from under-the-radar but still awesome artists like Green River Ordinance, Phillip LaRue, The War, and Over the Rhine. There’s a lot more as well, but that should give you a good idea of what to expect.
The only place the album is available is Family Christian Stores (online, or if you can find it, offline) for just $5. Now, I realize that $5 isn’t exactly free, but you are getting 26 songs for $5, and if you consider that each of those songs could be sold for 99¢ on iTunes, you could look at as really getting something like 21 songs for free. Even with a few dollar for shipping, it’s a ridiculously good deal that supports a great cause. Plus, I’m listening to my copy right now, and the music is seriously good too. Don’t miss it!
Anyone up for another sampler from the Winter Jam tour? That’s right, another one! This time it comes from HearItFirst, and features a song from all of the artists on the tour, with the exception of the Newsboys. Instead, it has the Winter Jam theme song, performed by Rawsrvnt. Here’s the full list of songs included:
- Third Day – “Revelation (Live)”
- Revive – “Chorus of the Saints”
- Tenth Avenue North – “Beloved”
- Fireflight – “Unbreakable”
- Newsong – “Hope”
- Sidewalk Prophets – “For What It’s Worth”
- Robert Pierre – “Jesus”
- Rawsrvnt – “Winter Jam”
Like before, the downloads are delivered via iTunes, though this time there’s no tweets or sign-up required – just click to download. I’ve already got most of the songs for free elsewhere, but I’m excited to get the Robert Pierre track. All of the songs are either good or great, definitely worth the free download. Enjoy!
You know how the Free Christian Music Awards are going on right now here on TFCMB? Well, I think I just found my vote for sampler of the year. This particular sampler is being released by the radio show Total Axxess & Provident Music. I have to say, this is the most impressive track-list I’ve seen in a long time:
- Fireflight – “Desperate”
- Leeland w/ Brandon Heath – “Follow You”
- Tal & Acacia – “Garbage In”
- Pillar – “Secrets and Regrets”
- Phil Stacey – “You’re Not Shaken”
- Matt Maher – “Hold Us Together”
- RED – “Start Again”
- Brandon Heath – “Love Never Fails”
- Tenth Avenue North – “Times”
- Jars of Clay – “Boys (Lesson One)”
You’ve got brand new Fireflight, great songs from Pillar, Phil Stacey, Brandon Heath, and Jars of Clay, really, just about everything on this sampler is worth getting. Don’t miss this one!
