The Fold
Free Christmas Song from The Fold
Well, the big day is over. I hope you had as amazing a Christmas as I did. Anyway, despite the fact that Christmas is actually over, there’s still quite a few Christmas downloads that I’ve haven’t gotten too, so hopefully you’re still in the mode for some free holiday tunes. First up today, The Fold is giving away their version of “O Holy Night” from a few years back (which was originally on the Tooth & Nail Happy Christmas Vol. 4 compilation).
Like before, with the band’s download of “File Under: Ground (Take Me In)”, all you need to do to claim the song is sent the band an email at a special address, merryxmas@thefoldrock.com. You should get an email with a link to download the song within a few minutes. Enjoy!
File Under: Ground (Today Only!)
This just in from The Fold’s Twitter account…
It’s FREE SONG day from The Fold. Just send an email to freesong@thefoldrock.com & INSTANTLY GET A FREE SONG from the new album!
The song is “File Under: Ground (Take Me In)”, and it’s the first track from Dear Future, Come Get Me, the band’s latest and first fully independent album. In case you’re wondering, after emailing the band, they’ll send you a link to download the song, and a special link, that takes you to a certain special place, where you can get a rather special deal. It’s pretty special.
Anyway, don’t miss this, it’s available today only!
Update: The Fold has generously decided to extend the free song offer, so if you haven’t gotten “File Under: Ground (Take Me In)” yet, just send the guys an email!
Free EP from The Fold

Free music today from The Fold – the band is giving away their 4 song Stargazer EP for free through the website NoiseTrade. Now, normally The Fold plays more rock, but on the Stargazer EP, they actually stick to a electronica/acoustic style, which works pretty well for them.
Now, to download the EP, you’ll need to visit their NoiseTrade page, and enter your email address and the email addresses of 5 friends to tell about the download, and the link to the download will be emailed to you. (And don’t worry, NoiseTrade won’t spam them, ever.) Enjoy!
Free Songs from Eleventyseven & The Fold

That’s right, Christian music’s resident group of unicorn-guardians (who also happen to be talented electro-pop-rock band Eleventyseven) have decided to unlease another wave of amazing-ness in the form of a new album, entitled Adventures in Eville. June just got so much better.
Since the guys in 11T7 are such generous, kind souls, it should come as no surprise that they’ve already released one of the songs from Adventures in Eville as a free download. The song, “Trying”, is available on the band’s iLike page, where you can the download “Trying” for free, and listen to another one of the guys new songs, “Evil Genius”. I don’t know about the evil part, but both are definitely genius. Just go download “Trying”, you’ll be happy you did. Or you’ll be destroyed by cyborg robot squirrels. Yeah. Check it out!
I was just going to feature Eleventyseven today, but I just heard through Twitter that The Fold is giving away their song “Faster Still” on their Purevolume, today (May 13, 2009) only. I know it’s late, but if you’re still up (like me…), and are up for some more great free music, you can link up here:
Christmas Series: Day 6 – The Fold (And bonus download from Paul Wright)
Free Christmas music today from the Fold. They have their rendition of “O Holy Night” as a free download on their Myspace profile. It’s from the Happy Christmas Vol. 4 CD (which is one of the best Christian Christmas CDs ever). The song itself is one of the best Christmas songs I’ve heard all year.
Hey! It’s another sampler!
Hey! It’s another Tooth & Nail/Solid State sampler. Pun intended. Anyway, it’s got 18 songs from a variety of T&N artists, including Anberlin, Neon Horse, Ruth, Surrogate, The Send, and MxPx. It’s got some sweet songs, and it’s made even better by the fact that they are all newer songs. So, don’t wait another minute.
One Dark Summer
Another Tooth & Nail-Solid State Purevolume Sampler! This one is huge. 32+ different song by that many artists. It’s awesome. If you like rock (Thousand Foot Krutch, The Almost, Jonezetta), punk (fm Static, Hawk Nelson, Run Kid Run), and/or hardcore (Underoath, Emery, Destroy the Runner), you have got to check this out! I can guarantee that if you enjoy loud music, you will find something you can listen to on here.
Get all 32+ Songs at Purevolume here now!
Note: You do need to give your email address to get the sampler. It’s worth it.
Update: During a recent upgrade, Purevolume.com removed all of the free samplers from the website. Including this one. So I’m sorry to say it’s no longer available. However, if you looked through the archives here on The Free Christian Music Blog, you could probably find some music that is just as good. I know it’s not the same, but it’s the best I have to offer, so please accept my humble condolences.
The Rock Brigade
Another online sampler from Tooth & Nail, Solid State, and BEC. It has new songs from Anberlin, Haste the Day, KJ-52, Seventh Day Slumber, The Almost, The Send and more. You have to have a Hearitfirst account to access the downloads, but, in addition, if you have a account, they’ll send you a another free download once a week. Hearitfirst is actually pretty interesting. It’s a website that’s run by the whole Christian music industry, so they have tons of neat stuff from almost every artist you can hear on you average radio station.
Update: The sampler has sadly been removed. Thankfully, there’s plenty more music out there…
