The Glorious Unseen
Summer Festival Sampler 2009
Yes, you heard me right, yet another summer sampler from Tooth & Nail/BECrecordings/Solid State. This one might not be as big and make your head explode, but it still contains some good music. Also, many of these songs were already on the previous Sampler Matt posted just two days ago, but, this one does have a few songs that were not. Of the twelve songs, 7 of them are on the Fuel Sampler. Track listing:
- Emery – Cutthroat Collapse
- Thousand Foot Krutch – Bring Me To Life
- Kutless – The Rescue
- FM Static – Boy Moves to a New Town with Optimistic Outlook
- The Glorious Unseen – Hear Our Prayers
- Falling Up – Streams of Woe at Acheron
- KJ-52 – Wake Up
- Hawk Nelson – Lets Dance Dojo Dominating Remix by Jason Dunn
- Since October – Guilty
- August Burns Red – Thirty and Seven
- Seventh Day Slumber – Take Everything
- Children 18:3 – All My Balloons
Anyway, even if you did get the Fuel Sampler, the remaining five songs on the Summer Festival Sampler ‘09 make it all the worth while to download. Besides, what do you have to lose?

It also says that the ‘The Rescue’ is done by an artist called by the same name. However, when I downloaded it, it came out as Kutless. I haven’t heard of an artist by the name by ‘The Rescue’, so I believe it was just an error.
Free EP from The Glorious Unseen
I’ve got another treat for you tonight, from The Glorious Unseen. They’ve got their entire acoustic EP, The Cries of the Broken, available on NoiseTrade. Now, since it’s NoiseTrade, you have two options for downloading:
- Tell 5 friends and download the music for free.
- Or, pay what you’d like and support the artist, then download the CD.
It’s up to you which option you choose. Either way, I really hope you’ll give The Glorious Unseen a listen, even if you don’t download the CD. I’m listening to it now, and wow, it’s good. It’s all real, heartfelt worship. Every song is about God, which I’m loving, and on top of that, the music is different from just about every other praise & worship band out there. It’s really just beautiful all around.
Anyway, check these guys out. It’s free, and it really is good stuff.
Summer Slam Vol. 2 Free Sampler from IVM

Free music today courtesy of Indie Vision Music. They recently uploaded Summer Slam Vol. 2, the biggest free Christian music sampler since One Dark Summer. This thing is huge! You can get 52 songs absolutely free! You don’t even need to give a email address.
In the 52 songs, there are tracks by MxPx, Project 86, Cool Hand Luke, Esterlyn, I Am Terrified, Stavesacre, The Glorious Unseen, Means, The Echoing Green, and many talented independent artists. The full artist listing is on the page.
I haven’t had a opportunity to hear the songs on this sampler yet, thanks to my internet connection, but I’m drooling over it right now. I know for sure that a couple of songs are rare finds – I haven’t seen the MxPx one anywhere else, and both the Project 86 and Stavesacre were iTunes Exclusives. Which is just one more reason to get this awesome sampler.
I also heard a that the other free downloads on Indie Vision Music could be disappearing soon. It could be a rumor, but if you haven’t yet, make sure you download all of the goodies before tomorrow. All of these links are to free music, making this the biggest amount of music I’ve ever featured. Check it out, enjoy it. It’s after all, it’s free!

Brand New HearItFirst Sampler!
I just found this now, and I am downloading as I write: Hearitfirst.com has new sampler. This particular sampler features HIF’s favorite new artists of 2007. It’s pretty diverse, with almost all genres featured. It has:
Stand Amazed – 33Miles
Intermission To The Moon – A Dream Too Late
Holiday – Britt Nicole
Love Like Rain – Daniel Doss Band
Love Somebody – Mandisa
Your Own – Nate Huss
Salvation Station – Neworldson
Cross the Line – Ruth
Not Afraid – Stephanie Smith
Say This Sooner – The Almost
Hear Our Prayers – The Glorious Unseen
Blocking the Sun – The Send
As you can see, it’s not only diverse, but it has some really good music. Now you will need to create a HearItFirst account to access the sampler. I highly recommend that when you do, you check the “Sign me up for weekly newsletter” box. If you do, you’ll receive more free music every week.

The Rock Brigade
Another online sampler from Tooth & Nail, Solid State, and BEC. It has new songs from Anberlin, Haste the Day, KJ-52, Seventh Day Slumber, The Almost, The Send and more. You have to have a Hearitfirst account to access the downloads, but, in addition, if you have a account, they’ll send you a another free download once a week. Hearitfirst is actually pretty interesting. It’s a website that’s run by the whole Christian music industry, so they have tons of neat stuff from almost every artist you can hear on you average radio station.
Update: The sampler has sadly been removed. Thankfully, there’s plenty more music out there…
