Free music today from The Letter Black!  You can download their song “Hanging On By a Thread” for free from the AOL Radio Blog.  Honestly, I’m a bit impressed AOL even still exists (anyone remember the AOL keywords from way back in the day?), but evidently AOL is still around, and even knows what good music is.    Check it out!

Free Sampler from Bruegger’s

I’ve got a free music to share today from a very unlikely source – Bruegger’s, a bagel cafe chain.  Now, I like bagels.  I do.  Normally, I prefer them with cream cheese, but bagels and free music sounds tasty too.  Here’s the tracklist for sampler:

• The Letter Black – “Hanging On By a Thread”

It’s all great music, though I’ve never heard of The Wellspring before, and couldn’t find much about them online.  Bruegger’s is offering all six songs for free on their Facebook page, though you do need to “like” the page before you can access them.  Check it out!

Update:  Bruegger’s just added House of Heroes’ “Elevator” to their list of available songs, a song I definitely recommend.

New Tooth & Nail Records Sampler!

No, your eyes do not deceive – there is indeed a new Tooth & Nail Records sampler out!  It’s called Tooth & Nail Records Bamboozle 2010 Sampler, and will be available until May 16th.  The tracklisting:

As you can see, it’s a pretty sweet list of tunes – there’s only one song from last year’s Fuel sampler included, and out of the 21 songs I’ve only seen two available anywhere before.  That’s impressive, and the songs are just as impressive.  I’d recommend Fair, Poema, and Secret & Whisper in particular, though really, I’m enjoying nearly all of the songs on here.  Don’t miss out!

Without a doubt, the biggest free download this week is from Steven Curtis Chapman.  You can download his latest single, “Heaven Is the Face”, from Tangle.com.  It’s an amazing, beautiful song, enough said.  Don’t miss it.

It’s hard to believe Christmas is coming up so fast, but it is, and Gospel Music Channel has the Christmas music to prove it – specifically, Ayiesha Woods’ version of “Jingle Bells”.  As it turns out, Ayiesha actually has whole Christmas album coming out, called Christmas Like This, a play off her last album’s title, Love Like This.

Here’s something new:  FreeCCM.com has totally updated their website!  It’s now a blog-type format, with new downloads every week.  They’ve got three weeks worth of downloads up right now, with songs from Todd Agnew, Fee, and The Afters – some pretty cool stuff.  You do need to sign up for the website again, even if you were signed up previously.

Last, but definitely not least this week, New Release Tuesday has a new song by Plumb.  It’s called “Hold On”, and it’s one of the new tracks from Plumb’s latest greatest hits collection, entitled Beautiful History.  I’m pretty excited about Beautiful History myself, primarily because it has two disks, the second of which is full of remixes.  Very cool stuff indeed!
